America Tweets: Booze vs. God

You might have seen this image floating around the web over the past week or so.  Floatingsheep.org analyzed the tweets of Americans between June 22 and June 28.  The image below illustrates the geographic differences between tweets about beer and religion.  Over 17,000 tweets, out of over 10 million, contained the word "church"  while over 14,000 contained the word "beer".  Notice anything?  Where is the concentration of red (church)?  And where does the blue (beer) seem to be concentrated? Is this any reflection on how November will look or is this just an illustration of the regional difference we have in America? Image from floatingsheep.org analyzing tweets of church and booze
